Indian Box Office: Another epic battle?
After the ambitious battle between Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Patni Patni Aur Woh’ and Arjun Kapoor’s ‘Panipat’ at the box office, the audience gets to see another battle between the wrestler Dwayne Jhonson and Rani Mukerji.
The Hollywood actor Dwayne Jhonson’s recent movie ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ has been managing to control the national box office since the first day. Whereas Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani 2’ has been sweeping behind by a little margin. Jhonson’s movie which was released a day earlier, had a head start of ₹1.25, on Thursday.
‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ gained another ₹9 crores on it’s first Sunday, whereas ‘Mardaani 2’ gained ₹7.75 crores to its total collection, according to a report.
The Hollywood movie earned ₹23.50 crores from its first weekend including an additional day, while the Bollywood cop drama has earned ₹18 crores in just 3 days.
‘Jumanji: The Next Level’, which casts Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas, and Awkwafina, picks up where the last part ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ ends, in 2017, and it seems that the story was well-liked by the audience.
On the other side, ‘Mardaani 2’ is a movie where Rani steps into the shoes of her most popular cop character Shivani Roy, who’s suppose to tack down a juvenile serial rapist-killer. A good word of mouth has also helped the movie grow, apart from her amazing performance.
