Does Akshay Kumar want to be a politician?
Akshay Kumar, the Khiladi of India. The fittest actor in the Bollywood. Mostly known for his iconic roles in Rustom, Airlift e.t.c.
Recently he has been interviewed by the Hindustan Times. In the interview, he was asked if he will ever stand to join the politics.“Not at all, I want to be happy. I love movies and I donate to my country through my movies. This is my job.” he answered.
In the last few years, he has done many social-related movies which made people call him ‘Bharat Kumar’. On which he said, “I don’t know why they call me Bharat Kumar. Phir jab Housefull release hoti hai toh yai wala tag wapas leletein hain. Main toh harr tarha ki movies karta hoon.”
He also shared his story about when he won a National Award for the movie Rustom in 2017. He said, “At my first National Award, a girl sat next to me, and told me that she’s a huge fan, congratulated me for my win. She asked me how many films have I done, I said 137. I asked her the same question and came to know that it was her first film, and also was winning a National Award for it. Kaise mera insult ho gaya.”
He also shared his theory on the idea of nationalism by saying, “I don’t believe in thinking about what the country has given you, but what you can give to the country. For example, you pick a captain of a cricket team, and now it is the team’s responsibility to listen to him. Follow the leader. Koi bhi party ka ho, let him lead the country because chuna toh aap hi logon ne hai.”
Akshay also liked a tweet (accidentally) that was in the favor of students protesting against the CAB bill and later said that he did it by mistake, he received a huge backlash.
