Nokia: Next flagship going to be delayed
Nokia 9.1 PureView – the successor of 9 PureView – was suppose to be released at the MWC 2020 trade show in February. But it looks like the release date went a little further, and the name (9.1 Pureview) was also the wrong one.
It’s based upon the news from a twitter user @nokia_anew, who advises that the Nokia 9.1 PureView would not be the name of the phone. Instead, Nokia is moving straight to the 9.2 PureView.
Furthermore, it’s not coming in early 2020, but in the late of this year.

This is to make sure the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset will be powering the phone, according to Nokia Anew. The delay is for the replacement of the processor, which shows that Nokia was at one stage using an older chipset for the phone.
Cutting edge Snapdragon 865’s use is almost certainly an important enough change to necessitate Nokia delaying it’s next flagship’s release. When asked, HMD Global denied replying to this rumor.
Many users criticized the element of the phone in Nokia 9 PureView, where they used the Snapdragon 845 – which was outdated even for its time.
The use of Snapdragon 865 will compete against many upcoming smartphones of 2020 like the Samsung Galaxy S11 or Sony Xperia 2.
